As Mechanical Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for a team of approximately 5 skilled engineers working with development, product improvements and technical support. You will play a key role in creating direction, supporting employee development and ensuring that projects and activities are prioritized and executed effectively.
You will act as the link between the technical specialists, the CTO and key stakeholders across the organization and international locations. While the role includes technical reviews and professional guidance, your success will primarily be measured through the success and development of your team.
You will become part of a highly skilled engineering environment and collaborate closely with colleagues across engineering, quality, operations, sourcing and international HAWE locations.
Tasks
- Lead and develop a team of mechanical engineers and technical specialists
- Ensure effective planning, prioritization and allocation of resources across projects and activities
- Create visibility of progress, risks and key milestones and ensure timely follow-up on actions and commitments
- Facilitate collaboration and alignment across teams, departments and international locations
- Drive continuous improvement of engineering processes, guidelines and templates
- Support technical decision-making and ensure high engineering quality across projects and deliverables
- Review and approve drawings, designs, technical tasks and project stages
Your profile
We are looking for an engineering leader who enjoys developing people, creating structure and driving results through others.
You may currently work as an Engineering Manager, Team Lead, R&D Manager or hold a similar leadership role within a technical environment. Alternatively, you may be an experienced senior engineer with proven leadership capabilities and a strong desire to move further into people management.
What matters most is your ability to combine leadership, technical credibility and execution.
You will be a good match if you:
- Have experience leading and developing technical specialists or engineering teams
- Have a solid background within mechanical engineering, product development or technical design
- Have experience reviewing and approving technical documentation and engineering deliverables
- Build trust and strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
- Create clarity and direction while maintaining a positive and supportive leadership style
- Take ownership and ensure that activities move from plan to execution
- Thrive in collaboration with colleagues across engineering, production, sales service, and procurement
- Have strong communication skills in both spoken and written Danish & English
Knowledge of structural mechanics, experience with Root Cause Analysis and familiarity with CAD or PLM systems are advantages but not requirements.
